Any new teams will be added to the list when we have full info and a name.*This is Important, PLEASE READ Dundee University Sunday League Development Proposal Mission: The Sunday League should look to remain within the confines of the University of Dundee Sport (Partnership between Dundee University Sports Union and the ISE), in doing so it will keep its heritage and unique identity. The League, known as the Dundee University Sunday League Sports Club, has the ability to engage with students with in the University, providing a friendly league where all levels of ability are concerned, as well as allowing past students and students from other Universities or Colleges in the area to take part. The Club should not exceed anymore than a 70/30 split of Dundee Students/non-students. Year 2010/11: Membership fees this year should be fixed at £170 per team. Individuals will have to have an ISE sports membership or higher, or pay the ISE the going rate to play each Sunday. Membership must be paid, as it is essential that the club addresses its financial perception. It will stand the club, in the future in a better position, particularly when discussing pitch fees next year. The money raised by team Fees will pay for 2 footballs and the referee pack per team. Some money will also be used to pay for trophies at the end of the season. The rest of the money will be kept in the clubs bank accounts. Each team should have a minimum of 14 players, each of whom has to register with the Club and the Sports Union. Teams should look to have a minimum of 10 University players. It will be at the discretion of the League Committee to agree to any team not abiding by this rule. The Club will adhere to the Constitution; however, it will have to make certain changes, in order to satisfy the membership. The Club will endeavour to fundraise for itself, and may raise money to help other sports clubs or charities. With the number of players totalling around 200, it will still be one of the biggest clubs in the University. Fundraising should be a priority, including at least one 7 a-side tournament to be held this year. It should be publically advertised, and should attract at least 32 teams. The club should harass the ISE, along with the Sports Union, to reduce the cost of playing football on a Sunday. As well as this, the club should seek an answer as to why we still don’t have the refereeing course as was ‘promised’ over 1 year ago now. I am appalled at the lack of commitment by the ISE on this promise. Year 2011/12: Having built on the previous seasons experience, there should be a desire to expand the League. The Club should look to bargain with the ISE regarding the hiring of pitches. The Club should hire the parks in advance, paying the going rate. This would mean that the Club fees could be set at say £200 for the year, and the Club would pay the ISE directly in September that full amount, instead of having it’s members pay for ISE memberships and/or paying a nominal amount each week. The Club needs to recognise that other Leagues hire the parks and pay nearly a quarter of the amount that our Club pays. Last year we paid to the ISE in excess of £20,000. To hire the parks for a year would be in the region of £2,500. It is a disgrace how our members are being taken advantage of. If we don’t get the deal we’re looking for with the ISE, then we should consider a deal with the Local Council, and/or take Legal action against the ISE for discrimination._____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

I will not be involved with the league directly this year, however, I offer any support that the club may need, and will regularly check the forums...Good luck this year.I suggest, as it looks like we'll have between 10-12 teams, that you play 1 league, playing each other twice, followed by the cup and shield....£170 isn't too steep either, then hopefully all Students will have ISE memberships, you really should have, coz they are great value for money....£5ish per game if your not a member...All teams have to supply a Ref or 2 this season, so that you can fairly ref the games....no excuses....Please make sure you or your friends register their team on here asap...we neeed to close registration this Wednesday, after that no teams can be added....All fixtures will be posted by Friday 25th for the league season....Thanks HotHands
